Method to Reproduce Strawberries in Pots
Sharing my successful experience of around five years with planting strawberries in Cambodia, I can say that growing strawberries in Cambodia's weather is challenging. The ideal temperature range for strawberries is 25 to 30°C. They need at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.
Strawberries grow well in compost-rich, loamy soil with excellent drainage. They should not be planted in frost conditions. It's important to maintain moderate humidity levels to prevent fungal diseases and promote healthy growth.

I can't control the weather to maintain the ideal temperature range of 25 to 30°C. Some of my strawberries are planted in pots, while others are in the soil. While the pots dry out quickly, so I need to spray them with water at least two or three times a day. For those in the soil, I water them twice a day, ensuring they are not too wet. Good period to plant strawberry are in September or October, and they grow well from October to late January.
Once or twice a week, I water the strawberry with a homemade compost liquid fertilizer. Additionally, I spray a natural pesticide weekly. I also use Trichoderma, which I produce myself, to kill fungal diseases. With this method of care, I have successfully grown nice strawberries in my small garden.
I planted strawberries using runners. Normally, runners appear after the plant starts blooming. If you want more runners, you should prevent the plant from blooming. A strawberry plant can produce many runners, but it's best to keep only three or four at a time, depending on the situation.
How to Get Runners:
I use a plastic container with soil and place the runner on it. I keep it there until it has five leaves, then I can cut it and plant it.
